IEEE Paintball - April 19, 2008
The Event
The WPI Student IEEE Branch is sponsoring a day of paintball at Fox4 Paintball in the woods of Upton, MA.
Paintball is an exciting outdoor sport. Typically, a group of players are divided into two groups and given an objective, for example, to capture the flag or to defend a "town". In order to complete that objective, the team must eliminate opposing players along the way by tagging them with a paintball from their paintball airgun or "marker".

- Things get started at 8:15 AM sharp (at AK or 9:00a at Fox4). Please be on time, this is important because of the size of our group. It's Big!
- The full day plan lasts until about 3:30 PM, and includes lunch.
Who's Invited?
Everyone! We'd like to get participation from everyone! Discounts will be given to the first people to sign up from each of the following groups:
- Each class year of EE undergraduates
- EE Graduate Students
- Faculty & Staff
- Alumni
- Guests
As always, anyone else is welcome to sign up, IEEE Member or not, EE Major or not, whoever!
Getting There
Fox 4 Paintball (on the web at www.fox4paintball.com) in Upton, MA. Driving Directions on the Fox 4 Website.
There will be a carpool organized to get there on Saturday morning, so don't worry if you don't have a car. If you need a ride, please email ieee+paintball@ece.wpi.edu to let us know you need one. If you don't tell us, we can't help you out!
Cost
What you pay to WPI IEEE if you are a IEEE Member:
- Price is $35 for the day
- Includes all necessary rental equipment: marker, mask, and ammo pouch with 500 rounds, as well as lunch.
What you pay to WPI IEEE if you are not a IEEE Member:
- Price is $45 for the day
- Includes all necessary rental equipment: marker, mask, and ammo pouch with 500 rounds, as well as lunch.
